Getting Started
How do I add my first pet?
On first launch, follow the onboarding flow and tap Create your first pet. Enter a name, choose a category (Cat, Dog, or custom), and pick an avatar. You can add more pets anytime from Profile → My Pets.
How do I switch between multiple pets?
Tap the pet name on the Home screen to open the pet switcher. All records, timeline, album, and reminders follow the currently selected pet.
How do I log deworming, baths, or weight?
Use the quick action buttons on Home, or go to Records and tap +. You can attach a photo, add notes, and optionally set a next reminder with preset intervals.
Reminders & Notifications
Why am I not receiving reminders?
Go to Profile → Reminders → Enable Notifications, or allow notifications when prompted after onboarding. Also check iOS Settings → Notifications → MyPaw and ensure alerts are enabled.
How do I snooze or reschedule a reminder?
From Home or the Reminders list, tap the menu on a reminder and choose Snooze reminder. Pick a preset (1, 3, 7, 14, 30 days) or select a new due date.
Photos & Storage
Where are my photos stored?
Photos imported into MyPaw are saved locally on your device within the app’s private storage. They are not uploaded to our servers — we do not operate photo servers.
What if storage is low?
MyPaw shows a warning in Profile when device storage is low. Export a backup, remove unused photos, or free space in iOS Settings before importing large backups.
Backup & Restore
How do I back up my data?
Profile → Data → Export Backup. This creates a ZIP file containing JSON metadata and your photos. Save it to Files, iCloud Drive, or AirDrop to another device.
How do I restore from a backup?
Profile → Data → Import Backup and select a MyPaw export ZIP. Existing data may be merged depending on backup contents. Keep regular backups before major imports.
Widgets
How do I add the MyPaw widget?
Long-press your Home Screen → tap + → search for MyPaw → choose Small or Medium size. The widget shows companion days and your next upcoming reminder.
